Confidence & Personality

Ages 5–12. Practise trying new things, asking for help, handling mistakes and speaking up in ways that feel right for your child. 48 live online classes · Teacher-led · Small groups of up to 5.

About this program

Confidence grows when children try something a little new, find that they can cope, and try again. This program gives children safe chances to do that: speaking up in a small group, trying a task without a guaranteed right answer, handling a mistake, and starting a conversation with another child. Over 48 live classes they practise knowing their strengths, making choices, taking initiative, managing feelings and using feedback. Confidence looks different for every child, and quiet children are welcome. The teacher helps each child join in at their own pace. These skills help at school, in new groups and in everyday friendships.

What children practise

  • Take the first step
  • Try again
  • Ask for help
  • Speak up respectfully

Explore what your child will learn

Ages 5–6, 7–8, 9–10, 11–12. Pick your child’s age. Modules are shown in no fixed order, and class counts are planned numbers.

  • Self-Awareness (8 classes): Recognise strengths, preferences and areas for growth.
  • Self-Confidence (7 classes): Participate and attempt challenges despite uncertainty.
  • Independence & Initiative (9 classes): Make decisions, start useful actions and follow through.
  • Emotional Confidence (8 classes): Recognise and express feelings appropriately without requiring extroversion.
  • Social Confidence (7 classes): Start new peer interactions and respond to belonging challenges.
  • Growth Mindset (9 classes): Learn from mistakes, feedback and effort.

What happens in a class?

These three steps guide every class. Classes do not follow an identical script or timing.

  • Hear a challenge. The teacher introduces a story, game, question or everyday situation to explore.
  • Have a go. Children actively take part: thinking, choosing, speaking, drawing, building, asking questions or solving problems.
  • Try and improve. The teacher adds a new detail, challenge or point of view. Children use feedback, rethink their ideas and try another approach.

Example activity

The situation: The teacher shows a small challenge with no single right answer, such as building the tallest tower from paper.

What children do: Each child chooses a way to start and tries it, even if they are not sure it will work.

How they work together: Children share what they tried and one thing they would change, and the others respond kindly.

What changes: The tower falls over. The teacher asks what the child could try next and gives time to choose.

Skill practised: Trying again after a mistake and asking for help when needed.

Where it helps: Having a go at something new, such as a new activity or a new group.

How learning connects to everyday life

A real-life moment: Your child is invited to a birthday party where they know only one or two children.

Using the skill: They can say hello to someone new, ask what game they are playing and join in.

A question to ask at home: “What would you like to try next?”

Progress through practice

Over the 48 classes, children keep coming back to the same skills in new situations.

  • Explore new situations.
  • Practise important skills again and again.
  • Meet different challenges.
  • Try again with feedback.
  • Build independence through practice.
  • Discover where those skills can help in real life.
