What do we mean by life skills?

Life skills are the abilities children use beyond worksheets and exams.

Children do not build these skills by only hearing about them. They need opportunities to use them.

Six skills we help children practise

  • Communication: Helping children express what’s in their mind.
  • Confidence: Helping children participate without needing the perfect answer.
  • Listening: Helping children listen, understand and respond.
  • Thinking & Problem Solving: Helping children think before reaching for an answer.
  • Creativity: Helping children see more than one possibility.
  • Social & Emotional Skills: Helping children understand themselves and other people.

These skills don’t grow separately.

In one activity a child can practise listening, thinking, communication, creativity, understanding others and confidence together.

Life skills grow through repeated practice.

Children practise in 4 live classes every week.
