Why we started Nurche.
As parents, we wanted children to practise more than reading, writing and maths. We wanted them to have chances to think for themselves, explain ideas, listen to others and try again when something is difficult.
From home activities to live classes
Nurche began with activities parents could try at home. We soon realised that some important skills, like taking turns, listening to another child’s idea and working as a team, need practice with other children too.
That’s why we now offer live, teacher-led small-group classes. Children learn by doing and practising together.
What we believe
Think independently · Express confidently · Participate actively
- Children need practice. Hearing about a skill is not the same as using it.
- Every child has their own pace. Small steps matter; confidence doesn't mean being loud.
- Life skills belong alongside academics. Learning to think, explain and work with others matters in everyday life.
